	Due to Gap's wonderful location in the foothills of the Alps and only 90 minutes drive away from the Meditteranean there are a wealth of leisure activities. Roll mouse over the images below to see more information.

In the department of Hautes Alpes there are 31 ski resorts and 1400km of runs. Within a 45 minutes drive of Gap there is the resort of Super-Devoluy www.superdevoluy.com offering 60 runs and also the resort of Orcieres-Merlette offering 40 runs. The top quality resort for cross country skiing Plateau de Bayard is only 7km from Gap.

On the cliffs at Ceuze (3km from Tallard), you can climb 8 months in every year. This 3 miles of cliff face are a magnet for many of the best climbers in the world.Or go to Orpierre near Laragne where all the climbs are pre-bolted.

20 minutes from Gap, the hang-gliding mecca Laragne can be found. A popular European location for pilots all year round.

With Europes largest lake a few kilometres away and the River Durance running through the region there are plenty of watersports; rafting, canyoning, Kayak, kite surfing, waterskiing, hydrospeed and swimming.

Whether a mountain biking enthusiast or walker you will find numerous paths and trails which are often coloured coded according to ability.

Or if you wish we can arrange a tandem free-fall parachute jump for you at the airfield. Our parachuting partner on the airfield uses many of the French team as their instructors and you can free fall from 15,000 feet if you wish. We can also arrange for you to fly in a glider, paraglider, gyrocopter or helicopter all from the airfield! Roll mouse over image!

Balloon flights take place most mornings at Gap due to the calm conditions . Fly with Pascal in the new Magni Auto-gyro 914. Simply an amazing experience with outstanding performance and visisbility. Try thermalling in the Lambada motor glider. This machine has a thirty to one glide angle and will take you up and around the clouds in absolute silence. Gap-Tallard is one of the world mecca's for parachutiing and you can try a tandem jump or even get your full license while you are there. Paraglide with Alain who trains the French team and has thousands of hours of experience.
